Thomas The Train Bed What Benefits?
Well its just a sort of toy bed isn’t it? This is most people initial reaction and of course they are right, it is a toy bed.. But dig a little deeper and you will find that the Thomas The Train Bed is much more. Its a learning tool and a way to jump start your toddlers imagination. Much recent has been conducted on the positive effects of stimulating childrens imagination. One Yale Professor, Dorothy Singer determined that “children who actively use their imagination reap a host of benefits, such as playing cooperatively and being successful in school” Why wouldn’t you give your child every opportunity for a successful life?
Thomas The Train Bed Helps Stimulate Toddlers Imaginations
A Thomas The Train bed is an ideal vehicle (no pun intended) to help stimulate your child’s imagination. Make bedtime fun and creative. Its easier for a child to make this leap into a pretend world if they are surrounded by objects that inhabit that world. Pretend play has been shown to play a big part in our early development, its helps to create a broader vocabulary and gives our children a chance to practice real life skills. Even if it’s only driving a train or a car or making a pretend cup of tea, these are all things they require physical dexterity and a logical though process. Sing along videos, while they may be the bane of some parents lives, are another great way to increase your child’s vocabulary singing a song over and over again is the perfect way to remember words and there meanings.
While science and math are important for our children to learn, we often place too much emphasis on these things that are so obviously career orientated. Playing with your toy trains whilst sitting in your toy train bed may seem to have no great benefit on ones future success in life. But evidence now suggests expand our thinking in this area. By playing with your children and providing an imaginative and challenging environment for them you can help to increase important life skills that do not have an obvious and direct career path.
